Austin, Here We Come!

I am very excited to share that in May, my little family will be moving to Austin, Texas! We are thrilled to be moving to a warmer climate and to such a fun city. I, personally, am very happy to be moving back to my home state of Texas to be closer to my mom, family and Texas friends. I miss Texas–its culture, friendliness and laid-back way of life.

My husband and I made a plan nearly five years ago–that we would move to a warmer climate. We talked about Florida, checked out Austin, Scottsdale, and planned a trip to check out California, but then the pandemic hit. However, we soon decided that we did not want to move to a state where we did not know anybody, so we decided on Austin.

Our excitement right now is just a little bit overshadowed by the enormity of moving across the country and the high cost associated with that move. Selling our house was a huge project that we just undertook and we moved immediately into moving planning mode. We are exhausted, but keeping our focus on the day we will finally move. I cannot wait to be settled in and enjoying our new life in Austin.
